Argentina LNB match previews, live streams, team news & schedules on livebasketball.com
Argentina's Liga Nacional de Básquet is the nation's premier basketball league and follows a similar format to that on the NBA, with a regular season, all-star game, and playoffs. Unlike the NBA though, the LNB has incorporated relegation and promotion to and from the Torneo Nacional de Ascenso (TNA).
The league, which was formed in the 1980s largely thanks to the stellar work of coach León Najnudel and sports journalist Osvaldo Orcasitas, has been credited with leading to string of successes for the national team including Argentina's Olympic gold medal won at the 2004 Olympic Games in Greece.
The LNB consists of 16 teams with the likes of Peñarol, Atenas and Boca Juniors all winning multiple titles.
